Vaktetaten

Vaktetaten is Kvarteret's steward and security team. The main task is to safeguard the safety and well-being of both volunteers and guests in the house.

As a guard, you never work alone, which makes the group a close-knit environment where people get to know each other both internally and across the house.

The work is about more than access control. Vaktetaten helps ensure that laws and rules are followed, carries responsibility for fire safety and also staffs stage-security duties during larger events.

The group provides training in conflict management, first aid and fire safety, and also opens the door to steward and security courses.

No prior experience is required. The group looks for people who are calm, composed, decisive, fair, responsible and social.

As a guard, you work three shifts per month and largely choose when to take them.

Shifts are mainly on Thursdays and on Friday and Saturday evenings and nights, and they can be taken together or spread throughout the month.
