Sound, lights and production

Kraft

Kraftetaten is Kvarteret's sound and lighting crew. Here you run technical production for concerts, theatre, debates and other events, and work with equipment that matches professional standards while giving room for learning and networking.

About the group

Kraftetaten is Kvarteret's sound and lighting crew. Here you run the technical side of concerts, theatre productions, debates and other events that should look and sound their best.

As a volunteer, you get access to a large and modern equipment pool, including streaming gear, and a culture where learning is central.

No prior experience is required. The group is a great fit for people who are creative, practical, outgoing and motivated to learn.

What a krafter does

As a krafter, you help plan and run the technical side of one of Bergen's best intimate stages, and at the same time meet experienced technicians who contribute both networks and new ways of working.

The work goes beyond concerts. There is also room for theatre, debates, TV-like productions and other larger and smaller events in the house.

Kraftetaten is split into sound and lights. Many people combine them later on, but it is recommended to start with one main track during the first semester.

Time commitment

As a volunteer in Kraftetaten, you work a minimum of one shift per week, and there are usually several events every day to choose from.

Monday evenings are used for house work, maintenance, training, courses and the social side that builds the group.

New members enter a trial period with a temporary internal ID before a regular volunteer contract is considered.
